hawaii 2010!

Tim and I were never able to take a honeymoon after we got married because of work. Once we realized it was entirely necessary for a break to keep our sanity, we started planning a vacation. ( and by "we" I mean "I") i looked for months for a sweet deal and finally found one to MY favorite vacation spot ever!! We spent 10 days in Heaven!! I never wanted to leave, but ill admit, it was nice to come home and sleep in our own bed and see our families. This is going to be a huge picture post. Ill try to caption the pictures but I think they pretty much speak for themselves..

On the bus to our hotel.. We woke up at 5 that morning to travel and its really easy to tell we were tired...but still so stoked to be in HAWAII!! WOO HOO!


Tim and I really wanted to go to the temple. Its gorgeous and we were able to see some awesome people there!!


This cute couple lives in Hawaii. Kilie and I went to high school together, and I had not seen her since....We both married the boys we sent on missions. She helped me through a lot, and I don't think she ever even knew it.

Tim and I were going to be big tourists this trip.....Apparently so was the couple taking the picture with us! hahaha

I love all things history so it was a huge deal for us to go to Pearl Harbor. Its such a unique spot to tour. It was so quiet, people were so respectful, it was clean, and they even had survivors of the attack at the front so you could talk to them. It was really neat to see it with Tim.

Sometimes, Tim is a big kid. He cracks me up.

We went on lots of tours.. This one is my favorite cuz it takes you to places like the Dole Pineapple Plantation...And they have ice cream there!!

Anyone that knows me knows I could literally live on Ice cream...This ice cream could change the world! ...NOT JOKNG!!! Easily one of the most fantastic things ever!!!

We got to go to the PCC...AKA, one of the funnest days of our trip!! Our favorite island was Samoa.

This man loved Tim's laugh, but then again, who doesnt? ahah Tim thought he was the funniest guy and would burst our laughing in spots where nobody else got the joke. I love his laugh, and his random bursts of giggles. It brings me so much joy!

They threw Tim this woven square ball thing and he was SO excited about it. hahahahah He is so easy to make happy! I love him!!!!!!!!!!!

This is before the dinner!! SOOO good.. I think we would get fat if we lived in Hawaii because the food there is ...INCREDIBLE!!!!

We spent almost every day in the water! We loved the ocean and all the little fishes that were in it!! The water is so blue that you can see your feet when you stand in it!! We loved every minute.. well minus the mean sunburns! haha

We got to go snorkel with all the fishes.There were LOTS of big fish in the water that day, and some crazy waves that made me sick when I just floated so we had to constantly swim.

"Yes honey, I was like 5"

"Trina have you ever covered someone in sand?"
"Not that I can remember...why ?"

"Can you cover me in the sand?"

Tim digs a hole and jumps in, I start covering him

"I feel like there is sand in my pants"

We were ready to go home to our house, sleep in our own beds, see our sweet families, and spend some time with our best friends!!!

Apparently they were excited to see us too, this is what we came home to.. HAHAH needless to say, we felt pretty special!!!

We had SUCH a blast relaxing and just doing whatever we wanted when we wanted. It was a nice break from work and an AMAZING time together! I loved having Tim to myself for 10 days! Im sooo glad that I get him for eternity!! We are so grateful we got the chance to go...we've even started to save for next years trip!!!!!

and this is what happens....

So I am sitting here at work... participating in my most favorite past time of blog stalking when I realize...I'M A BIG FAT SLACKER!!! I have not posted anything in awhile!! Here is a little update...

1. Tim and I went on our late honeymoon( pictures and explanations in a later post I promise)

2. I decided I was going to get going and stop being a lazy bum!!!! I went loco on painting our downstairs... still not finished but its in the process( which is really an improvement since I've been saying I would paint it for our entire marriage!) I'm a terrible decorator not gonna lie!

3. WE GOT A DATE FOR MY SURGERY!!! For those of you who don't know... I have a mass growing in my wrist, its growing around the nerve in my hand and grows out toward 1 of the 2 arteries in my wrist. What happens is the mass smashes the nerve flat so I loose the feeling in my hand, wrist and sometimes even up some of my arm.. not only that but I don't get any blood circulation so my hand is always cold and tingly. The mass has caused carpal tunnel in the smashed nerve as well so needless to say, its been not so fun!!

We have been so blessed! We found an incredible surgeon and then found out we were not covered by the insurance. TEARS!! I was heartbroken for awhile but they called me a few months after my initial visit and the surgeon has decided that the surgery is entirely necessary for me and he has offered to do the operation as a charity case...I CAN FINALLY HAVE SURGERY! I don't remember the last time I could touch my pinky to my thumb, or even feel my hand completely! I cant even remember what its like to move my wrist in a circle. Heavenly Father has certainly blessed us! I'm SOOO beyond grateful for the surgeon and his great compassion! Surgery is set for June 24, 2010!!!

4. WE HAVE A NEW NIECE!! Shanee and Todd had their 3rd little bundle of joy! They named her Zoey. She is so cute and I can not wait to meet her. Shanee sends me pictures of her and I am already in love with her!!

5.This weekend Tim and I are going back to good ol Snowflake for my little sisters graduation.. I CAN NOT BELIEVE SHE IS OLD ENOUGH TO GRADUATE!!! It makes me feel really weird!! We are excited to see the family though!! It will be awesome to have everyone together again, its such a rare occasion!!

6. Last weekend I went to 2 of my friends baby showers... All these baby showers are making me baby hungry. I feel like Tim and I have been married forever! It just seems so long ago that we dated in high school and so its seems like we should be havin kidos..but realistically speaking, we've only been married for 8 1/2 months and there is PLENTY of time for children!! At least that is what I keep reminding myself!! hehe

WHEW.. now things are sorta caught up and now you all know my secret..This is what happens when Im at work alone!!
